THE CHALLENGE

Relocate an Entire Food Plant Without Missing a Single Shipment.

Golden West needed to move their entire co-packing operation from Los Angeles to Fort Worth under an aggressive timeline while keeping every customer supplied.

The stakes were high: any gap in supply would damage relationships in a highly competitive market.

Key Pain Points
  • Compressed 10-week window
  • Simultaneous construction + relocation
  • Zero tolerance for production gaps
  • Full USDA & quality compliance required
Client Requirements
End-to-end responsibility for permitting, building systems, utility infrastructure, equipment relocation from LA, installation, and complete system integration — all while the original facility remained fully operational until the final day.
DPS METHODOLOGY

Design • Build • Manage – Executed Flawlessly

DESIGN
Detailed process engineering, utility planning, and regulatory strategy developed in parallel with the client’s commercial goals. Every system was optimized for speed and future scalability.
BUILD
DPS acted as the single point of accountability — managing all civil, mechanical, electrical, and process contractors while simultaneously coordinating the cross-country equipment move.
MANAGE
Real-time project controls, daily stand-ups, and proactive risk mitigation ensured the project stayed on the critical path. Every decision prioritized both schedule and long-term operational excellence.
